Well, I have ordered Deutsche Welle ala carte from Dish Network. The tech had to change my actual dish, dish mounted receiver, buried coaxial cables, and mount a switching unit to the wall... but by God I can watch the news from Europe, and enjoy German again...
They really don't advertise their ala carte channels, but on their website if you click around they have some international channels. This begs the question; if I can buy German TV, why can't I have DIY or SCI without buying some crappy package of useless prattle I don't want?
