Went and got a TV digital conversion box today, and an antenna so I could watch some TV at home this week. Spent most of the afternoon tracking those down. Ended up having to go waaaaaaay south ATL, Morrow for the box. Rush hour traffic, so I stop at Benchwarmer's bar, one of my favorites, off Clairmont/I-85, to wait out rush hour heading back north. Didn't work of course....accident, traffic backed up for miles going home...but I wanted to get my TV running before "24" came on. Barely made it....but I got to watch it. It was great.
After "24" was over (10 PM EST), I decided to head over to Suwanee Wild Wings for a few beers. Walked in, and just after walking in, there is a long corridor heading to the rear of the place....just when I started down that corridor, some guy carrying a ton of dirty dishes in something was at the other end, heading to the back...but he was RIGHT THERE in the corridor, at the end, when he looked up and saw me. He dropped everything, there were loud crashes of breaking glass, etc...and I heard a "HOLY SH*T, IT'S VAN!" out of him...didn't even know who it was right off...walked up the corridor, it was Cliff, one of the servers in our FFL league
Good guy. He ran up and hugged me and asked if he was seeing a ghost he he.
Anyway, I thought that was funny.
